On a recent visit to Manchester Airport I noticed that polethene fences have been erected around parts of the viewing area and buckets placed in the ground to collect amphibians, presumably before they hop across the runway and get sucked into passing jet engines. See the following photo:

I have driven through Madingley for the last ten years and have not seen a toad yet, not even a squashed one. A tribute to your good work.

Little did I know that my new home would become a toad sanctuary. I have put out toad "houses" and water pans and my back yard is hopping with them. I'm hooked on toads!!
